Yippee ki-yay, motor-starter
In an advertising event that none of us saw coming, Bruce Willis reprises grizzled vent-shuffler John McClane for the return of DieHard... batteries.

There are few action heroes as iconic as Bruce Willis' John McClane, the bad-situation-seeking exasperated cop at the heart of the the Die Hard franchise.
Amazingly, this big budget new spot from Dallas-based creative agency The Marketing Arm for Advance Auto Parts' 'DieHard' battery brand is the first time the hectic series and car part have been connected - as well as Willis' first commercial playing the character [unless you consider the first film an amazing ad for wearing shoes, which we do].
Bringing back the wisecracks, grimaces and vest that made the part so endearing in the first place, as well as cheeky cameos from the original's villainous boffin Theo (Clarence Gilyard Jr.) and casual limo driver Argyle (De’voreaux White), DieHard Is Back is an unexpected oddity that proves that 2020 really is the year that anything goes.
