WORK Editorial welcomes editor Amanda Marie-Rose to its global roster.

Based in UK, Marie-Rose will be represented by WORK across all international territories, bringing her distinct voice, technical sophistication and deeply culturally-informed editing style to the company’s line up.

Growing up in London is a huge part of her identity, as she puts it, “I’m from the city of dreams. London Town!!!” The lifelong East Londoner is a passionate Arsenal Supporter, an avid Substack writer, a member of the BeyHive since 03, and an accomplished oboe player.

Marie-Rose joins Work on the heels of a huge career milestone, having been named “Most Promising Editor” at the 2025 Creative Circle Awards, propelling her into working on high profile campaigns such as Converse, Foot Locker and a Samsung campaign starring Ashley Walters. Already established as a destination editor in music videos, she cut the highly acclaimed PinkPantheress, Illegal video off the back of the song becoming a viral hit directed by Ethan & Tom. Also establishing herself in narrative, she edited the acclaimed short film, From Sydney, With Love, directed by East Elliott, executive produced by Spike Lee, which won the Audience Award at Manchester Film Festival.

Most recently she just completed a new campaign for Transport for London’s The Stop is Just The Start with VCCP directed by Thea Gajic, fresh off her feature film Surviving Earth. “Thea and I had previously worked together on a short called Voicemail before she went on to direct her feature, so there was already a real understanding between us creatively. That felt especially suited to a TfL campaign so centred on human connection”, Marie-Rose explains, “What I really enjoyed was the wider team's trust in giving us the space to do what we do best. Shaping a story together in the edit”

Her journey into editing began in experimenting with video art during her Fine Art degree. Through hustle, trusted mentors and hard work she worked her way up through the tech sector then rising from Assistant Editor to Editor at The Assembly Rooms and later Doma. “I am genuinely thrilled that Amanda has chosen to join us at Work, not only she is an incredibly talented editor with wonderful skills of visual storytelling and technical execution she is also brilliant to spend time with. So much of what we do is knowing how to be with people in a room, understanding what’s needed and also to be a laugh!” says Founding Partner Jane Dilworth. “I can see clients really responding to her, so I am excited for our future!”

In terms of her editing style, whilst being influenced by classic filmmakers like Hitchcock and Cuarón, she credits a lot of her inspiration to something more contemporary. “Without sounding too low brow, pop culture shapes my taste. I love understanding what a particular audience considers cool, the lore, what references they recognise.” Marie-Rose goes on to say “I’m inspired by how icons like Beyoncé understand convention so well that they can completely move against it. I try to edit with that same instinct. If I understand the language, culture and expectations surrounding a piece of work, I can recognise the obvious choice quite quickly and push it somewhere less expected. That’s the kind of editing I’m always chasing.”

Marie-Rose’s decision to join Work came naturally after she served on the judging panel for the Creative Circle Awards, noticing that the work they consistently gravitated toward belonged to the Work roster. Marie-Rose added “ Work has a seriously talented group of UK and US editors, it felt like somewhere I could be challenged and invested in”.

Frankie Elster, EP of Work London, “Amanda is the whole package, great editor and a brilliant person. I’m thrilled that she is at Work, she is such an amazing addition to the roster and I can’t wait to get going!”
