Titled Beyond Ceilings, it aims to raise awareness of the persistent existence of invisible yet pervasive barriers that girls and women face across various sectors, including STEM, the film dives into the imaginary world of a young girl whose world is far too small for her.
She navigates life while the ceilings are literally very low, almost within arm’s reach. In the bedroom, dining room, and even the ceiling in her own school — her world is restricted. “Beyond Ceilings” calls for confronting and challenging the glass ceiling, reminding us of the vast possibilities that await when these barriers are overcome.
