Produced by Czar Amsterdam and creative agency Havas Lemz, A Million Kinds of Beautiful shows real people, mainly women, in private moments contemplating their bodies, scars and all, as they prepare to meet the world, take a dip, or just bathe and ponder.
Created for Scandinavian cosmetic company Vita, the languid, sensual film comprises portraits of people at different stages in their lives: a pregnant woman examines her stretch marks; classic beauties embrace the stories told in every crease in ageing skin; swimmers feel the power in their bodies.
When self-image is assaulted by a barrage of unrealistic standards, the film is a refreshing advocate for different angles on beauty.
