Holland, 1636. After a journey along the misty dykes, a lowly peasant is thrilled to hawk his tulip bulbs for double the expected price. So begins one of the most infamous periods in Dutch history.
The first major financial 'bubble', which saw the value of tulips rocket to crazy heights before dramatically plummeting and ruining thousands in the process, is given a comic spin in this new campaign for Gainbridge.
Created by Bullish New York and helmed by The Corner Shop's Peter Thwaites, the spot points out that if only investors had had access to Gainbridge's online financial services platform, they could've balanced risk with a straightforward high rate annuity.
