Knucklehead announce the signing of Three Shades aka Dean, Sim and Warren, for their music and content roster.

Friends since childhood, Three Shades bonded over their shared love of film, music and travel, cutting their film-making teeth on a two and a half year round-the-world trip, which was documented on their popular YouTube channel Travel Blaggers.

When they returned home with a showreel of music promos and content, they began shooting music videos, fashion, food and everything in between. Three Shades’ ability to cover a lot of ground quickly facilitated their rapid rise and development, and during lockdown, they decided to focus their energy on directing as a trio and honing their style.

“People are often very intrigued by the directing trio dynamic and it’s something we pride ourselves on, being such close friends with similar tastes but also how we push ourselves and bring the best out of each other, constantly pushing the limits of our creative output.”

Three Shades describe themselves as a one-hive mind, three creative brains synchronising their ideas and vision into one. Within two years, the trio has managed to build up a portfolio of work creating music videos for the likes of Bastille, as well as working with brands such as M&S, DAZN, Urban Outfitters, KLM Airlines, and Levi’s.

The trio have already directed two videos with their new Knucklehead family for the dance artist Luude - the second of which Oh My has just launched.

Three Shades add: “You know 2023 is going to be a big one when you find out you’ll be joining the Knucklehead crew! Having worked independently for the last few years, we felt this was the right time to reach out to a production company and the connection couldn’t have been more natural. Their reputation and experience in pushing creative standards is exactly what attracted us and we’re humbled they wanted to take us on. It’s an honour to be on a roster with so many incredibly talented individuals and we’re ready to start this next stage of the journey with the team!”

Knucklehead’s Head of Music Video & Content, Ore Okonedo: “Three Shades are smart, they're talented, and the process with them is always fun. I’m excited to see what we make together.”
