Created by Pulse Creative and directed by Henry Dean, this simple and effective campaign shines a light on British periodical The Times’ down-to-earth coverage of the UK’s upcoming general election.
The spot opens with the iconic Westminster bench, placed in the middle of an average secondary school playground.
It takes us through a series of common places across the UK, from food shops to estate agents to train stations, highlighting how The Times makes it easy to understand the ways in which the general election will affect aspects of our everyday life.
Director Dean had this to say about working on the project: “As with anything topical, one of our main challenges was a tight timeframe. We knew an election was brewing, but didn’t know when it would be called. Either way, we had to get the campaign ready so it could be launched at a moment’s notice, and have as much of a shelf-life as possible.
