Directed by JD Donnelly and produced by Fight Gravity, this feel-good campaign launch celebrates good drinks and good company. 

Jessie Ware and Monica Galetti star in the campaign launch of The Singleton’s new partnership with Jessie Ware that emphasises the importance of human connection, and delicious drinks. As whisky lovers, the two know that the perfect Single Malt, served neat or in a cocktail, can add a memorable touch to those special evenings with your nearest & dearest.

Production company Fight Gravity’s JD Donnelly directed the launch for The Singleton’s This Will Be Good campaign celebrating the act of bringing people together through food and drinks. Housed under alcohol brand giant Diageo, The Singleton brand is focused on providing ‘welcoming’ flavour. This campaign heralded the brand’s ongoing partnership with singer Jessie Ware who acts as a charming co-host with brand partner Monica Galetti.

Director JD Donnelly captures the celebrities’ fun chemistry as they prepare a relaxed and luxurious get-together with friends. Lighthearted and warm, Ware and Galetti share their favourite hosting activities while making cocktails with The Singleton whisky. 

"It was clear from the outset that Monica and Jessie having a great time together was going to be the driving force of the film - so our job in many ways was to not get in the way of that!’ reflects Donnelly. ‘Using interviews as the device to dig a bit more into brand messaging meant that they had the freedom to just have fun in their interactions so that we could cherry pick the best moments in the edit."

This campaign was a collaboration between food and drink marketing and PR agency TASTE and Fight Gravity. Donnelly emphasises the positive collaboration on the shoot. He says, "Because it was quite a simple set-up, the details become more important, and we had a great crew to lift the film visually from a cinematography, art dept and food styling POV."

Fight Gravity is no stranger to producing alcohol branded content. The company was recently nominated for a Shots and British Arrows award for their spot kickstarting Kraken Rum’s rebrand. Last year, Fight Gravity also collaborated on a series of brand films for beer brand Hertog Jan in Mexico. This campaign by The Singleton reminds us how a simple drink can bring people together.

"It was fantastic working with Monica and Jessie on this campaign,’ says producer Paul Cheung. ‘Their chemistry was brilliant and as you might expect they were total pros both behind and in front of the camera. Our director JD Donnelly showed his experience working on fast-paced, high pressure sets, his light touch gave the talent a great steer without being overbearing. Can't say enough good things about the Taste PR team, they were incredible collaborators from start to finish. In short, their support was invaluable."
