Ridley Scott Associates and director duo MOM have produced the new mixed-media campaign for Hennessy Cognac.

The social-led campaign from Good People Wander, produced by RSA working alongside Motion Palace out of Paris, documents brand ambassadors and musicians Alicia Keys and Lang Lang on a journey to the roots of Hennessy Paradis in Cognac, France.

The virtuoso duo previously collaborated on an original piano composition for Hennessy in Utah, inspired by harmony in nature, bringing together the shared values of culture and beauty for a moment of pure emotion, sensation, and contemplation.

The new series of films show an inspiring journey, through the Maison’s most emblematic places, discovering the natural surroundings, the time spent and the craftmanship behind the most harmonious cognac, Hennessy Paradis.

During this journey, Alicia Keys and Lang Lang were inspired and touched by the history behind Hennessy Paradis, from its connection to the beauty of the Hennessy domain’s natural surroundings, and the time- honoured savoir-faire behind the blend, to its musical inspiration. The experience culminated in an invitation to a private tasting in the company of Renaud Fillioux de Gironde, the eighth generation of Hennessy master blenders, giving the iconic artists an exclusive personal experience of Hennessy Paradis and the art of cognac.

“It’s that quest for harmony. The way we embrace the old and the new, how we balance unique differences, in the pursuit of the most melodic blend,” said Keys.

On directing the campaign MOM added “our approach to this project involved creating a mixed-media, organic-feeling film that aimed to offer a fresh perspective on Hennessy’s message. Alicia graciously accommodated the fast-paced shooting style that the schedule required, and our teams at RSA and Motion Palace rose admirably to the occasion, providing unwavering support. Additionally, to enhance the digital image, we utilized an Alexa Mini with vintage Russian anamorphic lenses and a specially modified Bolex for the Super 16 film."
