Production studio KODE have worked with directing duo The Queen to create a fast-paced, dynamic product launch film for Chinese electronics and mobile phone brand, Oppo, for their new product, the OppoA96.
The 30” film, entitled Designed for Life, portrays the versatility of the new technology in a number of everyday situations, showing how the phone can assist you, no matter the circumstance.
The film gains momentum as it seamlessly transitions through three scenarios of leisure, work and travel, with the Oppo device present at every moment. As the film effortlessly glides through the hair salon, office and on the road, the use of clever filming techniques devised by directors, The Queen, ensure that the momentum never lulls and the narrative keeps moving. In order to convey the versatility of the product, the 30” promo demonstrates the numerous features of the phone, whilst at the same time portraying an energetic and exciting series of events.

The Queen, Director said: "It was a really fun project to work out; we started with an initial brief from the client based on angles focussed around hands - but then worked with them on the script to evolve it to include a little more of the world around it. We felt that this would bring in a little more everyday feeling and character, from the outset we wanted to achieve all the effects in camera, with purpose built rigs that would allow us to keep the camera moving in, over or around the hands and devices whilst showing to show off each feature as naturally and hopefully as dynamically as possible. We worked closely with KODE and the great team in Slovenia, to bring the production to life over two very cold but fun days!"
