The Ogilvy Group UK appoints Jai Kotecha as President of Social
In the newly created role, Kotecha will lead social strategy across The Ogilvy Group UK, while continuing as CEO of Grey, reflecting the growing importance of social across the business.
The Ogilvy Group UK, comprising Ogilvy, Grey and New Commercial Arts, announces a significant expansion of its social offering with the creation of a new President of Ogilvy Group UK, Social role. Jai Kotecha will be reporting directly into James Murphy, Ogilvy Group UK CEO.
Effective immediately, the role will see Kotecha bringing together and building out Ogilvy Group UK’s existing social capabilities. This will include making a number of senior-level hires to the group’s social team in the coming months.
Kotecha brings over twenty years of experience to the post, having previously led social, digital, content and influence for Ogilvy UK before serving as CEO of Ogilvy Netherlands and EMEA Managing Director at Ogilvy. He joined Grey London as CEO in January, leading the agency through recent wins including Synechron and Henkel.
In his new role, Kotecha will work closely with Nicola Dodd, EMEA president of PR and UK managing director of PR, Social & Influence at Ogilvy.
