Waiting for trains, for free toilet cubicles, for traffic to move, for a microwave to ping, these and other mundane moments of frozen time are all imaginatively depicted in this elegant, beautifully shot film, The Wait.
Helmed by El Zayat through Kay Oh Productions and created by Tarek Nour Advertising, it depicts the languid ennui and mild irritations of such trivial delays.
But these are then starkly compared to the hardest of all waits – that of a child needing cardiac surgery. Heartbreaking.
