The Den welcomes editor Dan Maloney
Best known for his comedy-driven work, Maloney has edited memorable commercials with top comedy directors.
The Den announce that Dan Maloney has joined its curated roster of editors.
A powerful addition to the company’s collaborative culture, and its roster of comedy editors, Maloney's innate sense of humour and razor-sharp storytelling instincts are a natural fit for the bi-coastal edit house.
Maloney's comedic timing, focus on performance, and natural ability to crystallize a film's tone have entertained audiences worldwide. Maloney's work pushes the narrative forward while building standout commercial films for agencies and brands. Anchoring each project with a specific point of view grounded in story, Maloney carves out space for himself to take artistic swings that are as calculated as they are creatively expansive, and always pay off.
“As brands lean harder into humour that actually lands, it’s a natural moment for us to bring Dan’s voice into the fold,” remarks LauRenn Reed, Executive Producer of The Den NY. “He’s a top-tier comedy editor and an incredible complement to our roster. We're so happy he is joining us.”
Best known for his comedy-driven work, Maloney has edited memorable commercials with top comedy directors, The Perlorian Brothers, Tom Kuntz, and Jess Coulter, to name a few, for brands including KAYAK, DoorDash, and FedEx. Endlessly adaptable, he has also cut more traditional films for brands like Ring and Etsy, as well as documentary-style spots for Jim Beam, Lincoln Motor Company, Visa, and Verizon. A testament to his exceptional talent, Maloney has won several awards for his editing.
Maloney says on signing, “Post-production is a small world, and I’ve been a fan of the work coming out of The Den for a long time. When I heard they were expanding in New York, I was excited by the prospect of joining a team led by people I’ve known and respected for many years, it’s such a great group.”
