For most, the simple, funny concept of 'a lazy woman called Susan accidentally invents the Lazy Susan' would be enough of a gag to construct an entire short around.
However, for Park Pictures' directing duo Terri Timely, the chucklesome concept is merely a vehicle in which they can showcase their clever, crafty filmmaking skills.
Telling the tale of Susan and her over-excited sister, Active Annie, the filmmakers delight in sending the audience and characters in circles. Be it scooting the protagonist into view through some smart set design or strapping the camera to a rotating element to take in the scene, the pair's natural flair for a stylish transition or witty reveal makes the whole 7-minute adventure a joy to behold.
