Online reviews of products, including weapons, are the bread-and-butter of video sites like YouTube, but Guns Down America is calling on social media platforms and content creators to affix a warning label to gun-related content that tells viewers the truth about the innate danger of firearms.
Using the tropes of a standard vlogger's post, the Gun Survivor Reviews campaign from Energy BBDO, sees real survivors review the guns that almost killed them, making the message of inherent danger all the more powerful.
With brave performances from the victims, Kate Ranta and Nicole Jones, the films start off 'normally', but soon see the presenters describe in detail the effectiveness of each gun in order to draw attention to the damage firearms inflict on the human body.
