Los Angeles-based filmmaker Andrew Batista has joined the ranks of Strike Anywhere's esteemed directors.

Immediately after signing with the acclaimed creative studio, Batista delivered three cinematically stellar campaigns back to back for globally sought-after brands. Batista was chosen to direct Square’s first Hispanic US market broadcast campaign, where his proclivity for powerful imagery was used to dial up the fun. His stunning, sweeping visuals brought Atlassian’s Impossible Alone campaign to life as well as reimagining the US Army's legendary Be All You Can Be campaign.

Born in Miami and raised in Pittsburgh and Buenos Aires, Argentina, the world of film was a gateway into American culture for Batista. A childhood spent combing through the VHS library in the US Embassy's commissary cemented his obsession with the cinematic language of films and advertising. This resulted in his passion-driven approach to the craft. Throughout, his reverence for the art of filmmaking comes through in his purposeful camera movement and his eye for taking everyday imagery and reinventing it by abstracting the commonplace into something extraordinary.

Prior to joining Strike Anywhere, Batista’s body of work includes spots for Nike, Lyft, Audi, Ford, Meta, and Pfizer. He got his start directing short films, and documentaries, including the Vimeo Staff Pick Chasing The Wind, which chronicles the story of champion windsurfer Jasper Vesterstrom and his struggle with his father's diagnosis of ALS.

Batista says of joining Strike Anywhere: "As an artist, I seek to blend iconic visuals and powerful storytelling that leaves a lasting impression. What I like about Strike Anywhere is that at the heart of the company is a shared love of film. We all care deeply about our work, and I'm excited that they've brought me on board."

Strike Anywhere's Managing Director/EP Victoria Guenier said the following about Andrew Batista: "Andrew creates beautiful imagery, and nothing will stop him from getting the shot. We’re thrilled to have him on the team"
