Stevie Gee and Essy May get unboxing for Amazon Music
BLINKINK's Stevie Gee and Essy May deliver another mixed media spectacle for Amazon Music.
The BLINKINK duo Stevie Gee and Essy May team up with Agency Droga5 London once again to create another mixed media spectacle for Amazon Music.
Combining miniature sets, stop motion and 2D animation, we travel from the East Coast to the West to unbox the eclectic world of Amazon Music.
Off the back of their last project for Amazon Music’s 2021 Christmas, the duo continue to push their craft for this summer’s campaign, seeking to bring new users to the platform’s musical offering.
Starting on a warm sunset scene in Miami the characters dance to the rhythmic Latin sounds of Natti Natasha, a BMX rider seamlessly transports the viewer to a mellower hip hop setting.

Inspired by 80s hip hop and skateboard culture, Stevie Gee and Essy May showcase their technical brilliance as the rider weaves through ever changing backdrops and a 2D world of frame by frame characters.
They collaborated with Droga5 London early on in creative development to craft the concept, before expertly executing this with flair. It’s another masterclass in mixed media magic.
Stevie Gee & Essy May said: “We loved every moment of this job, it was technically one of the most challenging things we have worked on, utilising a whole bunch of techniques in each scene, but this is how we have fun.
Droga5 London and Amazon wanted a concept to visualise 'hip hop rotation’ so we pitched the idea of one guy riding through ever changing backdrops. In 15 seconds there wasn’t really that many he could ride through, but we packed in as much animation as we could in the time!”
