Stept Studios has appointed Emmy Award-winning producer Michael Belmonte as Head of Production, strengthening the company’s commercial and branded content leadership as it continues to scale across advertising and entertainment.

Belmonte brings nearly two decades of experience leading large-scale productions across commercial, branded, and premium content. He has held production leadership roles at 19th & Park and The SpringHill Company, where he oversaw high-volume, multi-platform production teams delivering culturally resonant campaigns and long-form storytelling for major brands and distribution partners.

Throughout his career, Belmonte has produced more than a dozen feature films and over 250 episodes of television across nearly every major network. His work spans remote, international shoots from the Arctic Circle on Ice Cold Gold (Animal Planet) to international productions including Naomi Osaka (Netflix), as well as studio-based programming such as The Shop (HBO), which earned Sports Emmy recognition. He has also led branded and commercial productions for leading global brands.

At Stept, Belmonte will work across the studio’s full production division, supporting national commercial campaigns, branded partnerships, and Stept’s growing entertainment slate. He’ll lead strategies to ensure consistent execution across high-volume commercial work and premium storytelling alike.

“Michael is exactly the kind of production leader we need at this stage of growth,” said Frith Dabkowski, Head of Operations at Stept Studios. “He understands how to build systems that support creative ambition while delivering operational discipline. His experience leading production at companies like SpringHill and Uninterrupted positions us to continue expanding our commercial and branded capabilities with confidence.”

Belmonte’s appointment reflects Stept’s continued investment in strengthening its production backbone as demand grows for integrated creative and production partners capable of delivering premium content at scale.

“Stept has built a strong creative and production engine,” said Belmonte. “I’m excited to help evolve the production infrastructure as our partners' projects grow and evolve between commercial, branded, and entertainment needs.”
