Nkiru is a Nigerian-British artist and director whose acclaimed 2017 short film, Rebirth is Necessary, won a slew of awards, including the Canal+ Award at the Clermont Ferrand Film Festival and the Best Documentary at the London Independent Film Festival. She has also directed commercials for brands including adidas, Apple, The New York Times and Gucci, and music videos for Neneh Cherry, Kamasi Washington and, for Beyonce, the brilliant video for Brown Skin Girl
