Synthesizing an eclectic mix of art, photography and other mediums into emotionally engaging stories that explore themes of identity and intimacy in a surreal and lighthearted yet powerful way, Elisha Smith-Leverock is a director that follows her experience and values throughout the creative vision and thus inspires and pushes boundaries.

With a background in photography, Smith-Leverock already proved her eye for lighting and composition. As a director she has also shown her talent for capturing authentic moments and portraying nuanced stories which has garnered her recognition in the advertising industry including major commercial clients such as Louboutin, The Coca-Cola Company, eBay and Dove as well as major festivals and awards.

Her NOWNESS short Triple Beam Dream sparked conversation on race, culture, and inclusion in the luxury goods industry. Her fashion film Rejoice Resist celebrates Black joy and pleasure as a form of resistance and launched the London activation of IN THE BLK, a global collective of Black creatives in the fashion industry. The film also won the 2022 Bronze Clio Award and 'Best Fashion Film' at the Aesthetica Film Festival.

Her drive for diversity and inclusion is obvious in her work, but doesn’t end there. To pave the way for others, she has served as an ambassador for Free The Work, promoting these values in the film and advertising industry.

"Elisha is an inspiring director and a pleasure to work with as a professional as well as a person. We couldn’t be more excited for her to join the Simon & Paul family and for the projects to come.“
