Sharks advertising and design awards 2021 winners announced
A panel of judges from the finest advertising and design agencies, production, and postproduction companies in the creative industry came together to award the best work from the last year.
The Sharks advertising and design awards have announced their 2021 winners, with a record five Grand Prix’s awarded and 39 gold iconic shark heads trophies.
A panel of judges from the finest advertising and design agencies, production, and postproduction companies in the creative industry came together to award the best work from the last year.
In Advertising, Iconoclast and Stitch Editing both won a Grand Prix for their entries for MacMillan Whatever it Takes, ZuluAlphaKilo also won a Grand Prix for Tough Turban.
Another two were awarded in Design to BigO for their Cork 1920: The Burning of a city exhibition for St Peters Cork, and to BBDO Guerrero for The Dissolving Bottle for Naturale Market.
Canadian agency, ZuluAlphaKilo were awarded Agency of The Year, Riff Raff and Biscuit both scooped joint Production Company of the Year and Factory won Sound Design Company of the Year.

BBDO Dublin won Irish Agency of The Year, Banjoman was awarded Irish Production Company of the Year and Pirhana Bar won Irish VFX Company of the Year.
A total of 39 golds were awarded across the film, film craft, design, design craft, digital and radio categories.
Film gold highlights include Tokyo Paralympics Super Human from 4Creative, MacMillan Whatever it Takes from Iconoclast, and Burberry Festive from Riff Raff.
In film craft, golds were awarded for direction, animation, art direction, cinematography, fashion directing, writing, VFX, editing, colour grading, use of stock footage, child direction, performance, title sequence, casting, animation, original music, sound mixing, use of licensed music, use of humour and sound design.
Shark Awards Jury President and Group Creative Director of Anomaly, L.A Ronayne said: "Thirty-nine gold Shark trophies are on their way to well-deserved homes. It's an increase from last year, but all hard won. The juries debated like champs, but the standard of craft and creativity has been exceptional. It's a thrill for the world to be inspired by all the winners."
The Sharks Short Film Awards are currently open for entries, deadline midnight GMT Sunday 31st October.
Sharks Music Video Awards is open for entries, midnight GMT deadline 31st December Friday 31st December.
