The Ronald McDonald Foundation, which provides housing for the families of children in hospital, has launched this touching animation celebrating its 30th anniversary, created by TBWA Paris and directed by Juan Pablo Machado through Passion Pictures.
Titled Tout Proche (So Close), the poetic and poignant 90-second film sees a mother reading a bedtime story over the phone to her young son, who is in hospital. As the story unfolds, the house magically moves across dreamy, illustrated landscapes towards the hospital until the family is reunited.
Machado said: “It’s a real pleasure to have had the opportunity to work on this project. TBWA and Passion provided me with a reassuring level of trust and an expressive framework, giving me all the tools to push the narrative and artistic aspects of the project as far as possible.”
