Taking in a century-long blend of cultures, FRED & FARID New York's barnstorming new six-minute odyssey for Rémy Martin, Team Up For Excellence - The Film, sees Usher slink and slide his way through distinctive moments in American music history.
Supported by a super-team of creatives (Raphael Saadiq, world-renowned musical composer; Marci Rodgers, Academy-Award winning costume stylist; Aakomon Jones, award-winning dance choreographer) director Jake Nava uses clever transitions and the ubiquitous abilities of his lead performer to tell an engaging and impressive tale.
“I was really inspired by creating the historical music scenes in a way that felt true to the spirit of that moment, but also relevant and eye-catching to a young contemporary audience,” states Nava, “This dual priority informed my direction of all the music, dance and Usher’s performance.”
