Another film for Range Rover Evoque produced by NM Productions, this time taking over the incredible city of Shanghai.

Shanghai - The City That Shaped Me was directed by Boo George, lensed by Mik Allen, with Michael O’Connor supporting him as 2nd unit DOP. The creative direction from the team at Accenture Song tells the story of actress Narana Erdyeeva and what makes the city so special for her.

The fast paced dynamic cuts between shots shows off the city’s diverse mix of cultures as the Evoque glides effortlessly through the towering canopy, showing just why the Range Rover Evoque is perfectly at home in the city. If you're into cities with character and cars that can keep up, this one's worth a watch.

Anissa Payne, EP, NM Productions: “Was an absolute pleasure to work with Nick Dodet and the team at PIG China on this. This was a challenging yet incredible project to have been produced in Shanghai but the local team really helped drive this forward. Once again really buzzed to have been able to work with a number of NM talent from Boo George to Mik Allen to Trigger and Michael O’Connor as second unit DOP.”

Sammy Bonham, Producer, NM Productions: "Quite literally, one of the highlights of the shoot was working on a 50 storey high helipad overlooking Shanghai. It was incredible to watch the sky light up with all the city lights when it turned from day to night.”

Mik Allen, DOP at NM Talent: “Coming into the Range Rover Evoque Shanghai shoot, having previously done a directors scout, I knew that we had a fantastic location on our hands. Shanghai is a city that exudes texture, light, and is pretty much a DP’s playground in terms of interesting frames and visual opportunities. Shooting both night and day, interior and exterior sequences allowed myself and Boo to really dig deep into the various looks Shanghai has to offer. The luxury of accessing some of the non-tourist trail locations meant we really got to see Shanghai from extremely privileged vantage points, which is never taken for granted. Thanks to Accenture, Range Rover, NM Productions and Boo George for having me along.”
