Directed by Martin Granger through Arnold Worldwide and produced by Moxie Pictures, the commercials are light-hearted with great comedic timing. They welcome back Progressive’s character of Dr. Rick who acts as a professional helping hand to stop young people becoming their parents too soon.
The two spots, Movies and Cleanse feature behaviours we can all recognise in ourselves and in our parental figures - such as making sure to go to the bathroom before going into the cinema, no matter what.
Luckily Dr. Rick is there to help them back into their place as young homeowners and try and stop them becoming their parents.
CCO Sean McBride comments: “With the world opening back up and people getting out of their house for the first time in a long time, there’s been no one to check them on their behaviour. For all they know, they could be fully acting like their parents. So, it’s a good time for Dr. Rick to get out there and remind them how they’re supposed to act.”
