Photoplay is delighted to announce the signing of director Lester Jones for representation.

Jones is a filmmaker whose work focuses on emotive yet stylised imagery; he combines visual storytelling with an eye for human connection to create aesthetics with his signature use of mood and tone.

Jones is drawn to projects where his considered cinematic approach can visually explore narratives that reveal a human element through performance and emotive storytelling.

Working with a diverse lineup of brands, Jones has recently directed campaigns for Paspaley, Commbank, R.M. Williams, Westfield, Telstra, and Sheridan.

Alongside his commercial work, Jones continues to write and direct various long-format projects ranging from short films to documentaries, which he finds is the perfect creative outlet to experiment with form and style and broaden his craft.

Together with a documentary film releasing later this year, Jones's latest short film Mother was released on UN World Water Day and offers a cinematic and humanised exploration into the effects of climate change. His previous work on similar themes also includes his International Women's Day film The One which spotlights female strength, beauty, and identity.

Upon signing with Photoplay, Jones says: "Over the years, I've had a big appreciation for Photoplay. They have a great respect for craft and are renowned as people who are great to work with. I'm flattered to be collaborating with their talented team."

Photoplay's Managing Director / Executive Producer, Oliver Lawrance, adds: "Jones is a passionate and insightful film director who lenses the world in such a fascinating way. His work is emotive and really connects and challenges audiences, and I love that his personal work does not avoid the challenging issues that threaten humanity and the environment. We are very fortunate to have him on board."
