Helmed by Reuben Armstrong through Reuben & Co, this immersive and experimental short film offers a literal glimpse into the life of blind runner and frontman of punk band Social Security, Phil Harrison.
Weaving dynamic DIY montages, archival footage and innovative, disorienting shots that reflect his sight loss, An Exercise In Perspective documents Harrison's story in his own inspiring words, while the visuals show us what it’s like to experience the world through his eyes.
Rather than focusing on the experiences that led to his sight loss in both eyes, the fundraising film centres on Phil’s resilience, excitable energy and determination, documenting his journey into running and his race in the London Marathon to raise money for the UK sight loss charity RNIB (Royal National Institute of Blind People).
