Children's show Het Klokhuis [The Apple Core] is a mainstay of Dutch TV, airing for more than 30 years, and a decade after Oscar and Emmy-nominated stop-motion director PES created the opening sting, he's back with a reworked film.
As the title suggests, an apple takes centre stage as we first witness a hand punching it's way out of a luscious green apple before it then becomes a multitude of other things; a space station, an ant nest, a mountain bike track and a stage, all accompanied by a brilliantly upbeat soundtrack.
