With his unique ability to blend storytelling and eye-popping VFX, Najeeb Tarazi has become a sought-after artist, visualist and collaborator. And now the LA-based Lebanese-American director has signed with Outsider for representation in the UK and Amsterdam.

After graduating from Harvard with a BA in physics, Tarazi’s film journey started at Pixar, where he worked as a technical director on fan favourites such as Toy Story 3 and Monsters University. After four years, he made his move into directing and has since had his work featured in Rolling Stone, Vice, shots, and the front page of Reddit. He’s also received five Vimeo Staff Picks, including Vimeo’s “Best of the Year” in 2022 for his experimental  skateboarding film  One More Try.

From retro animation to cinematic live-action and everything in-between, Najeeb Tarazi has crafted unforgettable experiences across commercials, music videos, and films, working with everyone from Uber, Microsoft and Snap to ArrDee and Tony Hawk.

“My collaborations with creatives in the UK have led to my most ambitious and unusual work,” said Tarazi. “ I’m thrilled to be joining Outsider. They’re a company who pushes limits with a wink and a bit of magic. It’s a perfect fit.”

Outsider Managing Partner Simon Elborne added: “With all the noise around AI and the glass half empty future of obsolescence that some are painting in our industry (let alone the wider world) it’s directors like Najeeb that top up ones faith in the unique preciousness of human creativity and innovative filmmaking that we must protect, which drives us on at what we do best - supporting and developing ground-breaking talent like Najeeb and working tirelessly to find the most exciting opportunities for them. His creative spark is profound and he is a gentleman to boot. We can’t wait to see what he does next.
