London based production company Outsider welcome renowned food director and photographer Jason Lowe to their roster for representation in the UK and Amsterdam.

From photographing the Basmati rice harvest in India for Delia Smith to founding the acclaimed Towpath Café in Hoxton, Jason Lowe has dedicated his life to food.

One of the most well-seasoned food photographers working today, Lowe’s images have defined food photography for decades. Uniting his natural wanderlust with his passion for photography, Lowe has created images on every continent for every major food and travel magazine, including 20 years of weekly columns for renowned British chefs Mark Hix and Simon Hopkinson and over 200 cookbooks with the most iconic chefs of the past 30 years, including St John’s for Fergus Henderson and Black Axe Mangal for Lee Tiernan.

His work in stills naturally led to directing commercials where his campaigns for global brands as diverse as Hellmann’s, Maille, Foxes, Rowse, Carte D’Or and McDonald’s have continued to redefine food photography as we know it. Lowe’s work combines his distinctive photographic eye with his insatiable energy and an incredible appetite for gastronomy, creating films that don’t just entertain, but encourage the viewer to taste, devour, smell, and savour.

On signing to Outsider, Lowe says “2023 looks like it’s going to be a great vintage! I’m excited to be welcomed into the Outsider family and look forward to whetting your appetites”.

Outsider Managing Partners Richard Packer and Simon Elborne said “We’ve admired Jason’s work for so long. It’s hard not to have been influenced, inspired and made to salivate by the films, photographs and cook books he’s brought to life. As massive foodies ourselves we’re so excited about what we’ll create together, and the things we’ll get to eat along the way!”
