In an attempt to raise food safety standards here on Earth, CP Foods has gone to the extraordinary lengths of sending chicken meat to the International Space Station [ISS] via the SpaceX Dragon.

The campaign, created by Wolf BKK Bangkok and directed by Teerapol Suneta through Suneta House, takes the angle that food on Earth has never been held to the same stringent safety protocols as the food provided to astronauts in space, which requires hundreds of tests from Nasa’s Food Lab in order to achieve the Space Food Safety Standard.

Via a brilliantly odd three-minute film, this campaign shows that, now, CP Foods' chicken is of sufficient quality that those on the ISS can enjoy it too and, not only that, but the campaign hopes to raise the bar for food safety standards back here on Earth.

Now, says the company, people on Earth and those in space have exactly the same standard: Aerospace Quality Chicken.
