What website(s) do you use most regularly?

BBC News and BBC Sport. Trusted sources to tell me what’s going on in the world. Social media and news don’t mix very well, do they?

What’s the most recent piece of tech that you’ve bought?

A few subscriptions to some of the latest AI visual tools. It’s moving rapidly, and I’m trying my best to keep up with what’s possible.

What product could you not live without?

Would struggle without my bike!

What’s the best film you’ve seen over the last year?

Rewatching Interstellar.

What sports documentary do you think everyone should have seen?

Has to be Icarus [about sport's relationship with performance enhancing drugs]. Stories like that don’t come around very often!

What’s your preferred social media platform?

Instagram. It’s the only one I use. As filmmakers, we are very lucky that it works perfectly as a portfolio for us.

What’s your favourite TV show?

The Walking Dead. Long live Rick Grimes!

What’s your favourite podcast?

The Football Fill In. Led by ex-Premier League goalkeeper Ben Foster, it’s a weekly round-up of the weekend’s games. It doesn’t take itself too seriously, and it’s my comfort blanket on a Tuesday morning!

What show/exhibition has most inspired you recently?

I find going to the theatre one of the most inspiring things I can do. You experience storytelling at the top of its game, which really sparks something for me. I was lucky enough to experience Back to the Future on Broadway recently, and as a theatre production, it was the best thing I’ve ever seen!

If you could only listen to one music artist from now on, who would it be?

Oh Wonder. They got me through some tough times. It’s music that means a lot to me.

If there was one thing you could change about the advertising industry, what would it be?

More honesty in communication. A lot of time and energy can be saved for everybody involved, which can only improve everyone’s work.

Who or what has most influenced your career?

The close collaborators I work with. No matter the project (big or small), they give it their all.

What scares you the most?

The dark.

What makes you happiest?

Doing something that makes me feel alive, which tends to involve something high-paced, full of energy, and making quick decisions.

Tell us one thing about yourself that most people won’t know.

You may have seen earlier this year that a young British lad won the inaugural Gull Screeching competition in Belgium. Back in 2010, I entered my school talent showcase (a three-night affair) as a ‘seagull impersonator’ and, well, rocked it. (Squawk!) Shame I didn’t have the idols that exist today to look up to or competitions to win — who knows where I could have taken it!
