What is the most creative advertising idea you’ve seen recently?
The water drinks brand Liquid Death and its creative marketing strategy. They have seen a gap in the water market and have gone after it. I love their illustrations, animations and mixed-media online promos, along with them having a heavy metal/punk-inspired brand and merch store.

powered byWhat website(s) do you use most regularly?
wastedtalentmag.com is a European art, surf, music and skate online magazine based in Hossegor. They also do free magazine print drops, which is how I discovered them. It’s a great online mag with a good surf shop. Surfline is where I check the surf forecast daily. I always hope and wish for surf on the south coast at the weekend. Pitchfork is for the never-ending quest for new music and bands to listen to.
What’s the most recent piece of tech that you’ve bought?
iPad Pro, Apple Pencil and Procreate. I have been inspired to take up drawing again by all the awesome artists I work with daily at Electric Studios and ETC.
What product could you not live without?
Beats Earbuds. I have a long commute - a swift 23 stops on the district line to get to work - and I have time on my hands to listen to music, podcasts and audiobooks.
What’s the best film you’ve seen over the last year?
I would have to say Dune 2. I loved everything about it.
What film do you think everyone should have seen?
The 1982 original Blade Runner, with Harrison Ford. One of the best sci-fi films of all time, and a film I watch once a year.
What’s your preferred social media platform?
Pinterest. Is that even a social media platform? I can go down a rabbit hole looking at illustrations, photography and architecture. And then, obviously, Instagram is a big one for staying up to date with my mates.
What’s your favourite TV show?
Andor. I love the storyline and all the production that has been put into that series.
What’s your favourite podcast?
Looking Sideways. Matt Barr interviews skaters, surfers, musicians, artists and snowboarders from the last 30 years. He has interviewed a lot of people I looked up to growing up as a board sports fanatic.
What show/exhibition has most inspired you recently?
David Hockney at the Lightroom.
If you could only listen to one music artist from now on, who would it be?
This is a hard one, but it has to be David Bowie, a South London legend!
If there was one thing you could change about the advertising industry, what would it be?
Just a bit more time in the production schedules.
Who or what has most influenced your career?
The Work of... DVD set, featuring Spike Jonze, Chris Cunningham, Jonathan Glazer and Michel Gondry. My mind was blown when I discovered that series as a Junior Production Assistant.
Tell us one thing about yourself that most people won’t know.
I have an encyclopaedic knowledge of quotes and scenes from 80s and 90s movies.
