London based OkayStudio announce the addition of award-winning editor André Rodrigues, marking an exciting start to the new year for the company’s renowned Offline Department.
Rodrigues brings a wealth of experience paired with a passion for storytelling that is a great fit with OkayStudio's commitment to creativity and excellence. Known for his commercial projects and critically acclaimed short films, Rodrigues has built a solid reputation as a versatile and innovative editor.
A graduate of the prestigious ESEC in Paris, where he studied Film Editing and Visual Effects, Rodrigues honed his technical expertise and deep appreciation for the art of editing at The Mill and Whitehouse Post, eventually leading him to his previous role at The Assembly Rooms. Over the years, Rodrigues has collaborated with some of the industry’s most visionary directors, including Ben Mege, Piers Dennis, Abdou Cissé, Glenn Kitson, and Lainey Richardson.
Rodrigues' strong and diverse portfolio spans commercials for global brands like Pepsi, Nike, and The North Face, as well as music videos for artists such as Two Door Cinema Club, Mahalia and Self Esteem. Solid experience in comedy driven narrative for commercials and fiction projects is a welcome addition to OkayStudio’s roster.
His work besides advertising has earned widespread recognition, including the BAFTA-nominated and BIFA-winning Festival of Slaps (BBC films). Most recently, his short film Sweetheart, directed by Luke Wintour, was selected for its world premiere at the 2025 Sundance Film Festival. Rodrigues has also extended his talent to narrative episodic content, which compliments his strong commercial work, providing more strings to his bow as an editor.
