Ten-year-old Darcy Murdoch, a young professional ice-skater from Dundee, is just one of millions of young people unable to participate in the sport they love this year due to the coronavirus lockdown.
But, as she takes to the ice in this new campaign, help is at hand in the form of Bubl the robot, O2’s brand mascot. O2's icing on the Christmas cakeFrom there we see Darcy and Bubl gliding around, getting lost in the magical scene. That scene then fades to reveal Darcy at home with her real-life sister Lexi, and their mums, with Darcy was watching Olaf’s Frozen Adventure on Disney+ via her new tablet.
The campaign was created by VCCP London and inspired by O2’s long standing partnership with the NSPCC and the work to keep children safe online and when using tech, particularly important at a time when technology will keep us connected to those we can’t be with over Christmas.
