“This was a really fun project to be a part of,” Director James Lovick explains. “It was lovely to get the team back together with kaboom and Nom Nom having worked with them a few years ago. With a tight budget and a heap of ambition, we had some challenges to pull it off. I embraced that though and put on my multi-tasking hat, being both Director and DOP on the shoot. A task that pushed me given the amount of dogs we had running around! But it’s good to challenge yourself every once in a while!! I think we managed to create a little piece of paw-some magic & a great team of creatives on Nom Noms side made the whole project a pleasure from beginning to finish.”
Kaboom EP and Founder Lauren Schwartz adds, “kaboom has always collaborated with directors that are, like James, multifaceted and can bring a variety of skills to the picture as needed. Whether or not they assume each role, having the creative perspectives and experience supports the project’s outcome. In this case, James was the sharp Swiss Army knife that was perfect for the approach. Add in a client team that was excited and open to exploring creative solutions, as well as a job that involved dogs, always a plus in kaboom’s world, and it was a dream experience.”
