Director Sean Kalra is behind this powerful and emotional test for Nike that tells the story of a boy's journey from child to adult.
Created through Marginal Vancouver, the three-and-a-half-minute film features a poetic voice over that plays over images of a young boy dealing with the loss of his father, the financial troubles of his mother and some tough times at school.
He takes out a box of mementos from his late father, which includes a pair of Nike shoes. The boy then uses the trainers as the impetus for his training and for pushing himself to become a dedicated and talented athlete. As the voice over states; "Life happens to us all, so what happens when we fall? Do we break, or leave the cage, and break away?"
