A wise philosopher once said, "It's the circle of life, And it moves us all, Through despair and hope."
Whilst not talking specifically about the halo-filled existence of the hapless protagonist in this new spot from Rethink (it's more to do with monkeys and giraffes or something), the sentiment of Rice/John's poetry can certainly be applied.
Promoting the simplicity of digital bank Tangerine, Jumping Through Hoops sees a society literally and metaphorically pushing itself through circles of all sizes.

Shot through OPC Films by Nick Ball, who brings out the tragically comedic scenario wonderfully and provides us with a cheeky Director's Cut with an alternate soundtrack [above], this gloriously designed and plotted commercial is worthy of doing the rounds.
“We thought through every creative detail with ‘jumping through hoops’ in mind,” said Nicole German, CMO at Tangerine.
“The set design had to be totally bleak. For our main talent, we found the most exhausted-looking man in the world.
"For music, we needed a song that was hopeful in contrast to the visuals.
"Those choices build to when our main character finds a better way to get around hoops.”
