Boasting an excellent soundscape relishing in that sweet music – hot tea being poured into a mug – this spot highlights how the British Gas Energy Trust has so far helped over 500,000 people since its inception in 2004.
Titled You're Not Alone, the campaign film was directed by Diarmid Harrison-Murray, via Untold Stories, and created by nucleus, a bespoke agency built for Centrica that comprises talents from The&Partnership, MediaCom, WundermanThompson and BCW.
Recent reports have estimated that 1.4 million UK households are behind on electricity and gas bills. The brand offers frontline advice services and energy grants to those most impacted by the rising cost of energy, no matter who their supplier is.
Micky Tudor, CCO, nucleus commented: “A hot cuppa is a clear symbol of energy usage but also such a simple way to communicate a comforting chat. And this is how the British Gas Energy Trust’s support begins, with a conversation. So it felt only right that we represent their thousands of conversations with as many different mugs as we could get our hands on.”
