Stadium welcomes director and photographer Michael Clarke to its roster, championing a multidisciplinary storyteller who pairs premium craft with a human point of view.
Originally from Lake Placid, New York, Clarke’s creative path began far from traditional sets. After traveling the world as a professional skier, he turned to filmmaking as a creative outlet and never looked back. He leveraged his existing relationships as an Under Armour endorsed athlete and built a long-running creative partnership with the brand, collaborating on more than 50 projects. Clarke’s work feels both expansive and intimate, balancing a documentary approach with an instinct for directing real people and real feeling.
“Michael is at a point in his career where the opportunity and the moment are perfectly aligned, and we’re excited to partner with him to help take the work even further,” says Samy Mosher, Founder and CEO of Stadium. “As both a director and photographer, he brings a photographer’s eye to every frame and a clear instinct for performance and emotion. That combination makes him a powerhouse on set and a special addition to our roster.”
Clarke’s commercial portfolio includes campaigns for brands such as Citi, Google, and United Healthcare. He took home a Clio for his Samsung U.S. Olympic campaign featuring Gus Kenworthy and was shortlisted for a Young Director Award at Cannes.
“Michael’s range is undeniable.” says Kelly O’Neill, Stadium's West Coast representative. “He can inspire you with real energy and cinematic scale, sometimes from the tops of the mountains (literally) and then turn around and tap into quiet, human truths that feel intimate and pull at the heartstrings. That balance is rare. I can’t wait to see how he continues to grow and climb with us at Stadium.”
“Michael and I came up together, and I’ve watched him shape his voice through years of dedication and craft.” adds Eric Maldin, COO and Partner at Stadium. “Welcoming him now feels like a homecoming, one we’re incredibly proud of.”
“This partnership feels like a real turning point for me,” says Clarke. “I’ve spent years building the work on my own, and finding a team that truly understands my voice and wants to protect it means everything. Stadium feels like a place where big ideas are encouraged, the details are respected, and the production prowess is there to meet clients’ needs at every step. That combination feels unstoppable.”
