Production company Merman welcome Ellen Crane into the fold as the new Head of Sales.

Crane, who comes from a background in both advertising and the charity sector, will be supporting Partners Siobhan Murphy and Spencer Dodd in the commercials division at Merman.

Crane has spent the last year working for the NSPCC & Childline as Celebrity Partnerships Manager, managing the charity’s roster of high-profile ambassadors and campaigners across major events, campaigns, fundraisers, press coverage and social media drives. Talent has included Pandora Sykes, Louise Pentland, Emma Willis, Geri Horner, Russell Kane and Philippa Perry.

Prior to working for the NSPCC, Crane spent six years working for OB Management, predominantly as the Head of Independent Directors, where she represented a roster of directors for widespread opportunities across the advertising industry.

Outside of work, Crane is a passionate writer. She spent two years freelancing as a script reader for BBC Film to hone her understanding of storytelling. She is currently in the early stages of writing her first TV drama series with director Libby Burke Wilde and used to run a creative writing platform called Seed, a community project dedicated to celebrating the power of stories and photography.

Crane says; "I have admired Merman’s commercial and long-form work for many years so am thrilled to be joining the team as Head of Sales. Siobhan and Spencer have done a fantastic job at curating such an impressive stable of emerging and heralded filmmakers, whose dedication to craft, creativity and storytelling is second to none. I’m so looking forward to beginning this new and exciting chapter."

Siobhan Murphy and Spencer Dodd say : “We couldn’t be more thrilled to welcome Ellen to the Merman team as Head Of Sales.
