Everyone has their Inner Demons, but what happens when you don’t - or can’t - reason with them?
Two sides of Lykke May Andersen face each other; one put-together and professional, the other distraught, dishevelled, and wearing baggy clothes. As one version of herself tries to tell the other what’s wrong, there’s no response. The prim girl laughs, stokes the fire, and ignores the worries and fears that the other relates to her.
Ada Bligaard Søby directs this haunting ad for Mental Health Foundation Denmark, aimed at awareness and understanding. The video is frighteningly timely, especially as many people are facing down their own Inner Demons, without distraction or outreach easily available.
