Since the late 60s Chuck Norris has been kicking ass and taking names, but there's one job which a Norwegian group of companies called Aker feels confident they can take off Mr Norris's hands.
In this over-the-top campaign from Norwegian agency Anti and Motion Blur director Espen Sandberg, the famous Chuck Norris memes are taken to the next level as Norris captures carbon by inhaling it, arm wrestles sun rays and tames big data like Neo in The Matrix, but passes on the torch of fighting climate change to the ambitious engineers at Aker.
Aker is investing heavily in industrial technology and green energy and, according to group CEO Øvind Eriksen, the heroes of the future are not from Hollywood, but from Norwegian shipyards, oil platforms, wind parks and data centres, working on finding innovative solutions for the future.
"As Aker accepts the toughest job in the world," explain Creative Directors Per Erik Jarl and Christian Hygen, "we had to ask ourselves who had the job before them, and the internet had the answer to that question: Chuck Norris."
