Production company Caviar announce Maxim Kelly, the London-based filmmaker & photographer has joined their London roster for representation.

Having worked together on the stunning videos for Django Django Spirals and his latest video for Shame Nigel Hitter it felt like the right time to make make it official.

Kelly's career started out in photography, which saw him working alongside some of the leading names in fashion photographers in New York, including a three-year stint as Juergen Teller’s First Assistant on his return to London.

It was during this period his passion for music videos began, with a trip to India where Kelly self-shot and edited his first music video for a friend’s band. This garnered a lot of press including best music video of the month and accolades in Dazed and various top music blogs and worldwide exposure through the Future Shorts Festival.

For Kelly a concept is everything. He’s all about substance first, dismantling briefs, seeking to find the essence of the song, artist or band, then developing outwards from there. Often finding a lateral and unconventional relationship to the themes and content of the brief.

With work that spans music, fashion, narrative and branded content, and clients from Valentino, Palace, Linda Farrow, Vogue and Hunger Magazine.

Daniella Manca, Head of Music Videos & Content had this to say on Maxim’s signing: “Maxim’s unique surrealist and eccentric style combined with his ambition makes him an absolute charm to work with.
