Macmillan Cancer Support has launched a new national campaign created with AMV BBDO that explores how factors like location, income, background and communication needs can shape people’s experiences of the disease.
Developed in partnership with DEI consultancy The Unmistakables, the work is grounded in authentic lived experiences and centres on a touching 60-second film directed by Child, through PRETTYBIRD, that features real people living with cancer, Macmillan professionals and sensitive portrayals of a range of patient experiences.
Part of the charity's Fair Cancer Care mission, the campaign marks a year-long effort to amplify the voices of those facing inequities, raise awareness of gaps in care, and encourage the public, professionals and partners to help address them.
