To be proficient in one animated style is bloody impressive. Two, and you're really pushing it. Three or more... well that's just taking the piss.

Such is the wonderful case with Léa Esmaili's animated odyssey for Mac Miller and Thundercat's new track She Knows Too Much, in which the pair and a 1964 Chevy Impala take a trip through an animated multiverse.

Created through Blinkink with VFX from Mathematic, the film saw Esmaili collaborate with artists Joshua Clauss, Louise Bailly, Thomas Bertrand, Turçin Soylu, Lola Lefèvre, Tom Jeanbourquin and Valentin Gaubert, fusing their individual styles into one cohesive road trip.

“Working with Mac Miller and Thundercat was a truly special milestone for us in the studio," explained Josef Byrne, Executive Producer at Blinkink. "The team felt deeply honoured and humbled, especially to finally work with the Mac Miller estate.”

“Making this music video is a huge honour," adds Esmaili, "as I grew up with these two artists and have admired their universe since I was a teenager. I wanted to create, within a single video, a fun animated moment by mixing styles, either in 2D animation or 3D.

"Beyond that, I wanted to build a burlesque narrative around two friends who spend a completely crazy day together, tied to their friendship and to anime of this kind.”
