Life doesn't come with a safety demonstration - but imagine if it did

In the event of loss of cabin pressure, oxygen masks will drop from the ceiling. Pull the mask towards you, place over your nose and mouth and breathe normally. We all know what to do if there's an emergency on board a plane, but sadly, there's no safety demonstration for life...

That's the premise behind Harriet Macdonald's short film for Balletboyz, a male-only company specialising in contemporary ballet. In the gritty urban surroundings of a London estate, a hooded youth plays out his existential crisis through dance, after jettisoning his useless life jacket and mask. Raw and compelling.
