It's probably all Sam Raimi's fault, but it's impossible to reconcile the idea of a cabin in the woods being anything other than a monster-beacon nowadays.

Taking this trope and giving it a gorgeous sprinkling of handmade wonder, Blinkink's new film for Levi’s, Let's Get Fuzzy, sees a bevy of cosy beauties terrorised by a decidedly fluffy yeti.

Directed by Stevie Gee and Essy May, the production, as detailed in a wonderful making-of below, saw a six-person team spend more than 2,000 hours constructing three miniature cabins and 400 individually crafted trees, while a Levi’s stylist helped ensure the tiny garments were faithful to their full-sized counterparts.

Filled with Dutch tilts, atmospheric lighting and fantastic character models (with a delightful throwback to Clayman, Levi's iconic 1995 spot), this craft-filled delight is another homespun win for the festive season.

“A cold cabin in the woods where five beautifully dressed friends are terrorised by a mythical yeti…” say Gee and May. “It felt like a wild card option, but we were thrilled it was the one that got chosen. We are both massive horror fans so it was a real treat to really push the genre in the final film.”

“We also made a point of touching the beautifully made miniature clothes in every frame,” explains animator Andy Biddle. “This created a constantly shifting, lively quality in the clothes (and hair) which in the industry, we call ‘boiling’. This helped push the idea of Let’s Get Fuzzy and gave the animation a more tactile, handmade feel.”
