The moving film for DoorDash, an online food ordering and delivery service, is a beautiful depiction of the symbolism of gifting flowers as an expression of love.
Created by The Martin Agency and directed by Nina Meredith, the spot focuses on the story of Jayne Neal, a young Black woman who grew up in the Jim Crow south in the 1950s before attending Howard University.
For her, the flowers represent more than a gift, they are a reminder that she is loved. It is a touching tale of how much is expressed through the giving and receiving of floral arrangements.
The campaign is an inspired idea, creating bouquets mimicking ones seen in old photographs, bringing back memories of special occasions, and Memory Blooms is a lovely message of the emotional impact gift giving can have.
