Created by Carmichael Lynch to promote the 2023 Subaru Forester Wilderness, the film takes a refreshing approach to the ironic cliché of a fossil-fuel powered product ploughing through a natural world at risk.
Directed by Lance Acord through Park Pictures the film, A Beautiful Silence, features the 10-year-old Emmy-nominated Woodard as a boy travelling through Yosemite National Park with his father.
Focussing on audio rather than just visuals, it features an evocative wilderness soundscape as it follows the pair experiencing the park’s natural wonders in different ways, both managing to ‘feel’ the majesty of woods, waterfalls and more.
Subaru launched the Forester Re-Foresting Project in 2019, replanting 500,000 trees in areas impacted by the California wildfires, it’s now expanding its reforesting efforts to include other states impacted by wildfires – Idaho, Oregon and Washington.
Continuing its eco-friendly, zero-waste production efforts – The Forrester is one of the brand’s cleanest running gasoline powered cars on the market.
